Kirchberg Flower Parade
A parade of flowers, traditional dress, music and a party – enjoy the Kitzbühel Alps and the village of Kirchberg at their best!
Suggested Programme
Arrival and dinner at your hotel.
Visit the famous flower parade of Kirchberg where every year on the 15th of August, the friendly village comes alive with a river of flowers and fun. The pedestrian zone in the centre of the village becomes the meeting point for everyone as live bands and stalls provide entertainment as well as food and drink. The highlight of the day is at approx. 3.00 pm when nearly 30 hotels, clubs and associations parade through the village with their „flower sculptures“ with over 500,000 flowers.
Take a round trip through the magnificent landscape of Tyrol and visit the largest lake of Tyrol, Achensee, where you have time for a leisurely walk along the lake. We recommend a ride with the unique steam train from Jenbach to Seespitz. Enjoy a drive along the Ziller Valley to the resort of Mayrhofen and experience the 500-year-old history of one of the most beautiful post gothic castles in Europe, Tratzberg.
We also suggest a visit to the charming mediaeval town of Rattenberg, the smallest town in Austria. Visit Kufstein, a town of contrasts, with its impressive fortress that sits hight above the old town.
Depart for your trip home after breakfast.
