Day 1

Arrive at your hotel in Salzburg, in time for dinner in the hotel.

Day 2

After breakfast join your guide on a city tour through Salzburg, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Discover the most important sights such as Mirabell Palace, the Marionette Theatre, Mozart’s residence and birthplace on the historic Getreidegasse, as well as the Festival Hall and Mozart Square. The afternoon is free to spend at leisure, possibly to visit the Hohensalzburg Fortress, the largest fully preserved castle in Central Europe. Gothic carvings, ornamental paintings and golden decorations can be found inside the fortress, which has panoramic views over the city.

Day 4

After breakfast gain your first impressions of the city during a sightseeing tour and learn more about the history of the city and its structure. When driving around the Ringstrasse you will pass the famous Vienna State Opera House and the Hofburg, as well as many other impressive buildings. Continue then to St Stephan’s cathedral. You will also see Vienna’s most popular shopping street, the well-known Kärntner Strasse, which – like the luxurious Graben and Kohlmarkt – is a pedestrian area with elegant designer boutiques and cafés. The highlight is a visit to Schönbrunn Palace, the former summer residence of the imperial family.
