Walk through the historic streets of Vienna and explore the St. Stephan’s cathedral, where the Viennese double wedding took place in 1515; a historically significant event which later brought the Habsburgs both the Hungarian and Bohemian crowns.
You can then continue your tour through the Kärntner Strasse to the Imperial Vault, which is the most important burial place of the Habsburgs. This place is the last resting place of the imperial family and you find documents with more than 300 centuries of Austrian history.
Enjoy a visit at the Church of the Augustinian Friars, where Emperor Franz Joseph and Sisi exchanged their marital vows in 1854, and explore the Hofburg, which houses the Sisi Museum, the Imperial State of Apartments and the Imperial Silver Collection. In the former private rooms of Franz Joseph and Sisi you can see some of the original furniture, valuable silverware and private possessions of the Habsburgs.
Furthermore, visit Schönbrunn Palace, the former summer residence of the Habsburgs.
