Gdańsk – Opening Shots of WW2 by air

On September 1st in 1939, Nazi Germany invaded Poland, officially starting the Second World War. On this tour, we look at the opening shots of the war at Gdansk and visit the city’s WW2 museum. We also plan an excursion to the Wolf’s Lair: Hitler’s headquarters in the East in the forests of Masuria.

Suggested Programme

Day 1

Pickup from the airport in Gdansk and transfer to the hotel.

Day 2

Day 3

During this day we will plan an excursion to the Wolf’s Lair. This bunker complex was Hitler’s headquarters in the East (was first used during Operation Barbarossa, the invasion of the Soviet Union, in June 1941). It is also a place where the assassination attempt on Hitler’s life took place on 20th July 1944, orchestrated by Colonel Claus von Stauffenberg. Full day on spot to explore the site before returning to hotel in Gdansk.
