Essence of Poland
On your journey through the sixth largest country of Europe, you will explore the West, South, East and North of Poland and 4 great cities. Visit the “flower of Europe” Wroclaw in the west, Krakow, the city of bohemia, poetry and art in the South, Warsaw, the capital in the east, and Gdansk the Hanseatic city in the North.
Suggested Programme
Arrival and dinner at your hotel.
Start your tour in Wrocław and get to know the most important sights such as the splendid central plaza with the town hall, a pearl of Silesian gothic, and the baroque University. Visit the Wrocław Cathedral and the Virgin Mary church on the small offshore island and enjoy a nice boat tour on the Oder afterwards.
Start your day with a tour through Kraków and visit the city’s highlights such as the beautiful ”Kings-Route“ which leads you to the oldest, mediaeval part of the city. Visit the Wawel Cathedral, the inner courtyard of the royal castle and St. Mary’s Basilica with the famous high altar carved by Veit Stoss, which is known as the largest in Europe. We also recommend visiting the Jewish part of Kraków, once an independent city, today one of the most popular attractions. After scenes of the movie “Schindler’s List” were filmed here, the quarter was revitalized once again. Let your day fade out during a relaxed dinner in the historic centre of Kraków.
Enjoy a day in Poland’s beautiful capital Warsaw. During a guided city tour you will visit the most important and famous sights Warsaw has to offer. Especially the historical city centre and the Royal Route are worth visiting and will definitely fascinate you.
On your way to Gdańsk visit the magnificent castle complex in Malbork, Europe’s biggest brick stone castle and base of the German knight’s order. Continue your tour in Gdynia with an amber workshop and carry on to Gdańsk in the late afternoon. Let your day fade out during a relaxed dinner in the historic centre of Gdańsk.
Start your day with a city tour of Gdańsk, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and explore the historic centre with its typical Hanseatic facades that are rich in detail. Visit St. Mary’s Church, Europe’s largest brick stone church, and the Oliwa Cathedral where you can listen to wonderful organ concerts during the summer months. Continue to the city Sopot, also part of the Tricity, and enjoy a walk along Europe’s longest and oldest wooden landing stage.
Depart for your trip home after breakfast.
