Berlin, Prague & Vienna
Join in on a trip to the capitals of Germany, Czech Republic and Austria!
Suggested Programme
Berlin. Arrival and dinner at your hotel in Berlin.
Berlin. Start with a city tour of Berlin. Your guide introduces you to the most important sights such as the Brandenburg Gate, the remains of the Berlin Wall, the Reichstag Building or Alexanderplatz.
Later, you can immerse yourself in the eventful history of Berlin. Learn more about the past of the Berlin Wall at the Checkpoint Charlie Museum or become a part of the city’s past at Story of Berlin, where you can explore 800 years of Berlin history.
Berlin. A visit of Charlottenburg Palace and its gardens is also recommended. It is the largest palace complex in Berlin. Alternatively, you can spend a day at the nearby city of Potsdam. Discover the city centre on your own and visit the famous Sanssouci Palace, which is often named as the German Versailles. With 70 km of walkways, its park is the largest in Brandenburg.
Prague. Begin your stay with a city tour of Prague, the “Golden City”. It includes a view of the Charles Bridge, St. Vitus Cathedral, Wenceslas Square, the Old Town Square, the Jewish Quarter, Mala Strana and the Astronomical Clock. A visit of the Prague Castle, which was built in the 9th century, is a must as well. Enjoy also a city cruise on the Vltava River where you can explore the city from a different angle.
Prague. Spend a leisurely day exploring Prague or visit the elegant spa town of Karlovy Vary, full of imposing colonnades, exclusive spa buildings in the heart of a wooded valley. It is one of the most famous towns in the Czech Republic and also famous for its glass; you can visit the famous Moser glass factory.
Vienna. We leave Prague and en route to Vienna, break the journey in the university city of Brno. Just relax in the historic centre or visit Spilberk Castle before continuing to Vienna.
Vienna. Start your discovery of the Austrian capital with a guided tour, finishing at the impressive Schönbrunn Palace, the former summer residence of the Habsburgs. Continue by exploring the city’s museums and galleries, see the Giant Ferris Wheel, stroll through the hectic Naschmarkt, then find a traditional cafe to relax with a coffee and a sachertorte.
Vienna. After free time for shopping, there will be a chance to visit the magnificent Baroque Belvedere Palace. It is not just a palace – it also houses one of Austria’s most valuable art collections, most notably the works by Gustav Klimt. In the evening, visit a Heurige or wine tavern amid the vineyards on the edge of the city, for a night of traditional food and music and of course, local wine.
Depart for home.
